The Love You Didn’t Receive Still Echoes Today is an awareness campaign addressing Childhood Emotional Neglect (CEN)—the often invisible absence of emotional validation and connection during childhood. Unlike physical abuse, emotional neglect may leave no visible evidence, yet its effects can continue into adulthood through emotional disconnection, low self-worth, and difficulty forming relationships.

The campaign uses nostalgic family photography as its primary visual language. Cut-out figures, aged photographic treatments, and white borders recreate the tactile quality of childhood photographs while deliberately introducing gaps and separation within familiar family scenes. These visual absences represent the emotional needs that were never acknowledged.

The campaign aims to move the conversation from “nothing happened” to “something was missing,” encouraging viewers to recognize emotional neglect, understand its lasting impact, and begin the process of healing.
